Amber Clark, A.A.E. has served as the Airport Director for the Columbus Airport (CSG) since 2018. In this capacity, she functions as the airport’s Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and administration of Columbus Airport operations. Her responsibilities include planning, directing, and coordinating staff activities, while implementing the policies and directives of the Columbus Airport Commission and advancing the airport’s strategic priorities.

Amber holds a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management from the Florida Institute of Technology. In November 2025, she earned the Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.) designation through the American Association of Airport Executives (A.A.A.E.). The A.A.E. credential represents the highest professional standard in the airport industry and signifies advanced expertise and demonstrated proficiency in the full scope of airport leadership and administration, including finance and governance, operations, planning and development, security and compliance, environmental considerations, and stakeholder engagement.

In 2016, Amber relocated to Columbus from Kennesaw, Georgia, with her two children, Jack (LJ) Clark and Cecilia (CC) Clark, to serve as the Fixed Base Operator (FBO) Manager of Flightways, the Columbus Airport’s general aviation terminal. During her three-year tenure, she led strategic improvements that strengthened financial performance, enhancing service standards, rebranding the customer experience, and implementing operational efficiencies that supported a more profitable and sustainable business model. She also provided recommendations to airport leadership and the Commission regarding facility improvements and general aviation development.

Amber earned her private pilot certificate at the age of eighteen through Aero Atlanta Flight School at Cobb County International Airport and subsequently completed her Commercial Pilot Certificate, along with Instrument and Multi-Engine ratings. She has accumulated more than 350 flight hours. Additionally, through an internship with Delta Air Lines, she supported initiatives related to the Northwest and Delta merger in 2008.

Amber is actively engaged in aviation leadership and civic service. She serves as the Past President of the Georgia Airport Association (GAA) and continues to support the organization as the Education and Scholarship Committee Chair, with a focus on workforce development and professional advancement within the aviation industry. She also serves on the Georgia Aviation Hall of Fame Board. Locally, Amber serves on the Feeding the Valley Board and the Chamber Board, and she is a member of the Downtown Columbus Rotary Club.

Amber has also received national recognition for her leadership and professional accomplishments, including being named the 2023 Business Woman of the Year by the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA).

Chief Jarred Hubbard serves as the Chief of the Columbus Airport Department of Public Safety, bringing over a decade of experience in law enforcement, emergency services, and leadership. He has been a certified law enforcement officer since 2014 and has dedicated his career to public safety and professional excellence.

After graduating from mandate school, Chief Hubbard began his law enforcement career with the Meriwether County Sheriff’s Office as a patrol deputy. He later served with the Shiloh Police Department and subsequently transferred to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, while continuing to work part-time with the Shiloh Police Department. In 2017, he furthered his law enforcement career by joining the Columbus Airport Department of Public Safety. In December 2024, he was appointed Chief of the department.

In addition to his law enforcement credentials, Chief Hubbard became a firefighter in March 2023 and obtained Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) certification shortly, thereafter, enhancing the department’s emergency response and aviation safety capabilities.

Chief Hubbard attended Andrew College on a baseball scholarship and later continued his education at Columbus State University as a business major. Prior to his career in law enforcement, he was a successful business owner, owning and operating a wood yard and managing his family’s farm. His business operations included firewood processing, custom rough-cut lumber production, and forestry mulching services.

Chief Hubbard comes from a deep-rooted family history in Shiloh, Georgia, dating back to 1900. His family settled the area as cattle farmers and agricultural operators, while also engaging in logging and operating a circular sawmill. His great-grandfather acquired several thousand acres across Harris, Talbot, and Meriwether Counties, purchasing land, harvesting timber, and distributing property among family members as the generations grew—ensuring the continuation of farming and cattle operations.

With a strong respect for family heritage and a passion for history, Chief Hubbard brings both tradition and forward-thinking leadership to his role. Under his direction, the Columbus Airport Department of Public Safety is focused on accountability, professionalism, and modernization. While the department faced challenges in prior years, Chief Hubbard is committed to elevating operations and leading the department to the highest standards of excellence in airport public safety.

Carolyn Mills is a dedicated Human Resources professional having earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Master’s in Human Resource Management, and holding the Associate Professional in Human Resources (aPHR) certification.

Carolyn began her career as a Human Resources Specialist in the United States Army, where she served with distinction until her honorable discharge in 2022. During her service, she earned multiple awards for her efforts in streamlining HR processes and demonstrating unwavering integrity.

After transitioning from the military, Carolyn joined the National Infantry Museum Foundation as their sole Human Resources Generalist, gaining valuable experience in a nonprofit setting. She later expanded her expertise in the private sector as a Human Resources Generalist with a private equity company in Columbus, GA, where she earned a reputation for exceptional service, clear communication, and engaging new hire orientations.

Since 2022, Carolyn has been an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), participating in national and state-level continuing education seminars to stay at the forefront of industry best practices.

In June 2024, Carolyn advanced her career by joining the Columbus Airport as their Human Resources Manager. In this role, she continues to bring her passion for people and her strategic approach to enhance HR operations.

Outside of work, Carolyn enjoys reading, golfing, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. She is currently preparing to earn her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification in 2026.

Sonya Overton has served as the Director of Marketing & Air Service Development for Columbus Airport (CSG) since 2022. In this role, she leads strategic marketing and air service development initiatives that strengthen airline partnerships, grow passenger demand, and position the airport as a competitive regional gateway. She works closely with airlines, community stakeholders, military partners, and regional leaders to support sustainable air service and economic impact and is responsible for strategically promoting the airport, increasing passenger demand, strengthening airline partnerships, and expanding or sustaining commercial air service. She also serves as the airports PIO.

Sonya holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and an Associate of Science degree from Columbus State University and brings more than 20 years of experience in marketing, sales, communications, and strategic planning. Since joining the airport in 2011, she has played a key role in advancing air service initiatives, strengthening regional partnerships, and supporting award-winning military and stakeholder engagement efforts.

Sonya is committed to aviation leadership that prioritizes community connection and service. She is a member of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), the Southeast Chapter of the American Association of Airport Executives (SEC-AAAE), Georgia Airports Association (GAA), Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC) and the National Information Officers Association (NIOA). In 2019, she earned multiple Air Service Development certifications, including Fundamentals of Air Service Development, Marketing to Airlines and Incentives for Airports, Tourism and Stakeholder Engagement, and Data Analytics, Innovations in Leakage Studies, and Air Service Forecasting.

Locally, Sonya is a member and currently appointed to serve on the Board of Directors of the Rotary Club of Columbus. She previously served on the board of the American Businesswomen’s Association (ABWA) Harris County Charter Chapter as Secretary, where she was recognized with the Protégé Award for demonstrated commitment and professional growth.

Sonya lives in Columbus with her husband Dominic and their five children (Breyannah, Morgan, Elijah, Karmelo & Madison).
