The Airport Police Division is responsible for managing an effective airport security program that ensures a safe and secure environment complying with applicable regulations, laws, and codes.
Location/Directions:
The Public Safety Police office is located on the first floor outside the security checkpoint in the main terminal.
As you enter the airport via the Main Entrance, proceed toward the security checkpoint. To the left, across from Propeller’s Restaurant next to the women’s restroom, you will see a small alcove.
Badge Processing Services
Badge processing is located on the 2nd floor.As you enter the airport via the Main Entrance, proceed toward the security checkpoint. To the left of the checkpoint is a set of double glass doors. Through the doors is an elevator. Take the elevator to the 2nd floor. Turn left down the hall and enter the doors on the right labeled Public Safety. Handle your contactless smart cards/badges properly to avoid damage.
Note: Employees and/or tenants are responsible for all costs of damaged/lost badges.

Badge Processing Information AOA/General Aviation & SIDA
*All badge applicant’s must complete a Security Threat Assessments (STA) Clearance before Badge is issued.
* All Applicants including renewals must submit Access Control Badge Application Form to Airport Public Safety Office completed in its entirety, signed by signatory representative. All signatory authority verify each employee’s personal information on the Badge Application before it is submitted.
* All SIDA (Security Identification Display Area) Badge must under go a fingerprint Criminal History Record Check (CHRC), Security Threat Assessment (STA), Security Awareness Training (SIDA). Except those exempt by TSA policy.

As a prospective, new or current employee, you may have questions about security procedures at Columbus Airport. This section was designed to answer your questions.
Each of the forms below describes the procedures for each step in the security clearance process. Print, download and fill out the forms, as directed by the employer. Please do not sign the forms until you come into the office with proper identification. Forms should be returned to the Public Safety Office, located on the second floor of the Main Terminal.

Signatory Authority & Training
Signatory is a representative of a Company who is responsible for record keeping of the company badge holders. Signatory Training will be provided by the Airport Badge Office. Training will be held Yearly. Dates and times will be provided by email.
Annual Recurrent Training is Required. A signatory who fails to complete initial or annual recurrent training will be removed as an Authorized Signatory and badges will not be issued. All other badges under that Company will also be deactivated. Until the training requirements are fulfilled.
